About Ruth Winfield

Pastor Ruth Winfield, a West Virginia native, she studied West Liberty State University, majoring in Elementary Education and Special Ed. She begins her Christian Journey within the A.M.E. Church, while there, served as the district youth director in the West Virginia Conference. 

By adhering to God’s plan, she moved to North Carolina, leaving behind what was familiar for the unfamiliar. She became a member of Evangel Fellowship Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Otis Lockett, Sr. Dedicating five years of teaching at Evangel Bible College, for students pursuing a two-year degree in Biblical Studies. Ruth was ordained as pastor by Bishop William L. Washington of Power House of Deliverance Churches. She and her late husband William Louis Winfield, Sr. co-founded Worship and Deliverance Christian Center. 

Pastor Ruth Winfield later served under Bishop Otis Lockett, Sr. and currently serves under Bishop Stinneth Powell in the Church of God in Christ.

Ruth held a career in Corporate America for over two decades. She worked in various leadership roles in Fortune 100 companies, which include American Express and Time Warner.

With a passion for single parents, she founded Women of Wisdom Cafe, Inc. It offers single parents an opportunity to start their own business and generate additional income. Ruth’s leadership and commitment to empowering professional women has earned her recognition and accolades from the National Association of Professional Women, including VIP Membership. She took on the role of Vice President for the NAPW Winston-Salem Chapter, focusing on promoting business networking among owners.

She launched her own Christian Radio Show called “Wisdom Cafe,” which was broadcasted on the COGIC Radio platform.  Ruth is the owner of WISDOM: The Insightful Magazine, which is a seasonal Christian publication. She was excited about providing this platform to minister to the heart and minds of people. Readers can watch live church services and gospel music videos on the digital magazine platform with just one click. 

She is a teacher of God’s word. Her spiritual gifts include Word of Wisdom and Word of Knowledge.
